We’ll be starting our work on releasing the new version of help.hover.com at 6pm Eastern tonight. This will be confusing to anyone using our help site at that time as the help.hover.com pages will be changing a great deal. The majority of the work should be done within an hour and we’ll make things as quick and easy as we can.
Please be advised, between the hours of 3am and 4am Eastern Time (in the early hours of Aug 25, 2009) Hover will be inaccessible for about 5 minutes to allow for a small maintenance by our upstream provider.
During that brief time, URL forwarding will be offline and you will not be able to log into your Hover user account. Email should not be affected.

We are no longer getting errors from the PayPal system when processing payments from customers. This would only have been affecting customers from 11:45am to 12:15pm Eastern.
We are currently seeing errors from our payment processor, PayPal, when customers are attempting to pay for services. Our system administrators are working with PayPal to restore services as soon as possible. We will post any additional details as soon as we have them.
Our System Administrators have cleared out the slowness that was causing customers to time out when visiting www.Hover.com. We believe this slowness was caused by a DoS attack against www.Hover.com.
Customers will now be able to log in to manage their accounts. Email, DNS, URL Forwarding and Domain Registrations were not affected by this.
We are continuing to investigate the root cause of this peak in activity so we can make sure this time out issue does not happen in the future.
We are seeing 50 times the usual amount of traffic on www.hover.com which is causing the site to time out when you visit it. Unfortunately this means that customers cannot log in to manage their accounts.
Our system administrators are working on clearing out the slowness as soon as possible.
All other services: Email, URL Forwarding, DNS and Domain Registration are all unaffected and working normally.
8:23pm EDT - We are pleased to report that the credit card processing issues we have been experiencing over the past several hours have now been resolved. You will no longer be seeing error messages when trying to process payments and transactions will no longer fail.

7:26pm EDT - Paypal’s promised time to repair has passed and transaction errors are continuing at this time. We are attempting to obtain an updated time to resolve for this issue from Paypal and will post further updates as soon as new information becomes available. Until we can confirm the fix for this, please be aware, when attempting to process any credit card transactions through Hover, you will be encountering error messages and transactions will fail to complete.
